tomcat을 yum 패키지를 이용해서 설치 하였으며.
tomcat의 기본 위치는
/usr/share/
경로에 있다.
아래는 tomcat의 server.xml 파일의 내용

server.xml을 살펴보면 host엘리먼트에 appBase속성이 tomcat의 진입점을 나타낸다
설정을 안했을 때는 기본경로로 webapps 를 잡고있다.

기본적으로는 위처럼 명시 되어있으며, 실제경로는
catalina_home변수/webapps/ROOT를 가리킨다.
이제 톰캣의 기본 진입 경로인 root경로를 바꾸기 위해서는
host엘리먼트의 속성인 appBase의 경로를 변경하고
이를 적용시키기 위해서 Context엘리먼트를 host엘리먼트 내에 위치시킨다.
변경된 server.xml이 위에 보이는것이다.

Context엘리먼트의 path와 docBase속성에 대해서 설명하자면
path는 요청하는 주소를 말하는 것이고,
docBase는 document문서의 실제위치이다.
또 추가적으로 얘기하면 path="/" 이고 docBase="/home" 이라고 했을 때
ipaddress:8080/ 의 요청이 들어왔다면 ipaddress:8080/home 으로 인식하게 된다.
*************tomcat6.x 버전을 사용하는 경우****************
tomcat6.x버전을 사용한다면
추가적으로 ROOT.xml 파일에 Context엘리먼트를 정의 해줘야한다.
$CATALINA_BASE/conf/Catalina/localhost/ROOT.xml에 위치하게 되는데 처음에는 파일이 없기 때문에 만들어준다.

그리고 위와 같이 설정을 한다.
(똑같이 하라는 말이 아님 자신이 사용하는 docBase를 쓸 것)
이 Context엘리먼트는 기존에 server.xml에서 한 것과 같이 똑같이 정의 해줘야 한다.
